In-depth psychotherapy for individuals
Everyone can benefit from psychotherapy at some point in his or her life. Often a transition or a tragedy brings someone to therapy: divorce, separation, breakup, job loss, serious illness, move to a new city, death of a family member. But you don't have to be in a serious crisis to come to therapy. If you enter therapy when things in your life are relatively calm and stable, we can enhance and augment what is working in your life and fine-tune things that are not. If you enter during crisis, therapy will be a lifeline, an anchor to ground you in a stormy sea. Regardless of where you currently are in your life, therapy will help you grow and expand in deeper ways than you thought possible.
Everyone has their own unique set of talents and positive attributes, as well as their own set of challenges that they will face in this lifetime. Therapy is a safe and compassionate space where you can be fully yourself. We can explore life goals and discover what you want most out of life. You will learn what makes you uniquely you: what your core issues are, what patterns you bring from your family of origin, what frightens and challenges you most, where you most need to grow. You will learn how your life experiences have shaped you into the person you are today, and will work to resolve old feelings you have about things that you experienced.
You will improve your relationship and communication skills, make peace with your past, and develop a greater sense of well-being and self-confidence. Things that may have seemed unclear or have long been troubling you can be safely brought forward, discussed, and released. You will gain a greater sense of peace and comfort in the world and in your own skin. The greatest journey you will ever take is the one inside yourself. Your therapist is your guide and compassionate witness on this great adventure.
